Secrets of Eden: Chapter Two - At the Edge of the Desert
Stephanie
Through the cavernous lands sand and rocks, the wind moaned a haunted gale kicking up the land in it’s wake. Her eyes darted open. Without moments pause, without a second of consideration, without any restraint, Stephanie shrieked a terrified death scream the echoed through the canyons at the edge of the desert. This cry lasted for several seconds as her mind caught up to her reality and eyes saw that the danger had passed. Now as the notes of scream died on her lips, diminishing into nothing she saw where she had awoken.
She lifted herself up from her side, bracing herself with her arm against the rocks. Before her she could see the stretching landscape of desert. It had been adorned with rocks, each with a smooth just polished look. Littered throughout were tall, taller than normal, and robust Joshua Tree’s their colors bright, almost glowing, against the backdrop of the setting sun. In the light of the new day the cliff sides shimmered with an iridescent red, like rubies set ablaze. The sand the coated the desert in the light of sun looked as sterling silver fresh out of refiner’s fire. In those few precious seconds all the world was lost to Stephanie and all that remained was the beauty of the desert.
Slowly the spell of enchantment this land cast began to fade as the last few seconds of her memory came forward. Stephanie had been running, running for her life. She took precious few glances backward to her pursuer. She knew she wasn’t going to out run him. She knew this would be the end of her. Though she was terrified for her life, a part of her, not a small part either, knew that she deserved it. It was this lingering thought that weighted her steps and labored her breathing. On a not quite subconscious level Stephanie slowed herself down to allow her would-be killer to catch up.
She tripped, as it was to be expected, while taking her final look at the man gaining on her. She broke her fall with her arms stretched out to the pavement. Rolling on to her back Stephanie then extended her arms in protection, if not protest, against harm.
“Please don’t kill me!” She shouted.
The man had slowed to a walk, and his hands reached under his jacket behind his back. To Stephanie he was silhouetted by the afternoon light. As he drew closer she could hear sirens in the distance. She prayed that rescue would come swiftly, but that part of her spoke up again, You don’t deserve rescue. Accept your fate and may god have mercy on you. She didn’t want to die, to see twenty years of life ended before it had truly begun. However, if this was to be the end, she determined she would go out with grace and dignity. As her pursuer approached he drew out an object that Stephanie couldn’t quite see.
“Miss! Are you alright?!” Stephanie’s heart skipped beat as she turned to face to the man in desert behind her. The memory fading she considered the man with a cautious glance. After a second Stephanie boosted herself up, and cleaned the dirt from her clothes. She waved, realizing that she was happy to see another person. To be alone, even in a wilderness such as this, would be maddening. She waved, signaling to the man that she was okay, and to come closer.
As he came closer Stephanie judged him to a young man in his mid to late twenties. He was wearing dark jeans with a light beige shirt, and a light black jacket. The expression on his face was a look of relief with an undertone of concern. Though he was considerably older and hairier than to her liking she found him cute. Cute in an attractive way, as she would often clarify for the benefit of the crowd around her. No, he wasn’t as cute as Jake Gyllenhaal, or as pleasing to the eyes as Ian Somerhalder, but he was cute all the same. She smiled as he approached.

Time of Angels
Genesis 1:26-27
Then Elohim said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” So Elohim created mankind in his own image, in the image of Elohim he created them; male and female he created them.
In the beginning Yahweh created the universe and He created humanity to live among it. In Genesis we are told that Yahweh had to do no more than speak the creation in to existence. According to the gospel of John we are told that everything was made through Yahshua. To most this is a contradiction in terms, was it Yahweh created the universe or was it Yahshua? To Christians both are true because both the father and son, as well as the holy spirit are one. To the Jewish faith there is but one God, with no equal. To the Atheist however, it is just one more weak explanation to a faith they do not espouse.
However, If one were say, that Yahshua was the literal voice of Yahweh before he became man, (The word made flesh) such a statement could be easily reconciled. Yet, this is not a blog on the concept of the trinity. I have that already, see my Testimonial Video Series: How I Met Our Father, Episode 9- The Trinity However, for the sake of you understanding where I am coming from I will give a brief exposition. Yahweh the Father is one unto Himself. Yahshua preexisted only as the literal word that preceded from Yahweh’s mouth. The holy spirit, is the breath of Yahweh, that gave the voice of Yahweh it’s power. So from my point of view, it is not three distinct personalities, rather three functions of the same being.
The question you should have now is, “Wait, did you just point out the verse that says, ‘let us make man in our image.’ Doesn’t that statement proof that Yahweh was talking to someone?” That question is the perfect segue into what this blog is about. Who was Yahweh speaking to?
The one thing the first two chapters of scripture does not point out is the creation of the angels. The word Elohim is a plural word, meaning Gods. El is the singular meaning God. The psalmist told Yahweh, you are the El of the Elohim. Translated today it would say, you are the God of Gods. In the most recent Marvel movie, “The Avengers” Captain American is told that he couldn’t take on Loki and Thor because they were gods. To which he responded, “There is only one god.”
Is this a true statement? The authors of scripture have used the word Elohim many times. Even Yahweh Himself is quoted as using this word in dialogue with us mere mortals. Hundreds of cultures have also discussed the plurality of gods, the Greeks, Romans, Egyptians, and Norse mythology just to name a few. There is a quote that says even Christians are atheist who limit their beliefs to one God. So, why is it that only Christianity, Judaism, and Islam claim there is only one God?
Let me tell you a story. Once upon a time there were gods that came down to earth to teach men they ways of heaven. They taught man, medicine, how to write, how to fight, how to build, and how to destroy. Each being had there own special skill to teach. Then their offspring, who were titans in size, fought them for control. This brought about war the likes we have not seen since. The King of Gods banished the gods to taught mankind things they were ready to know, and laid waste to the giants the plagued the land.
How many myths did I touch on there? A bit of Greek and Roman to be to sure, and with just a touch of Egyptian and Norse as well. Yet, all this and more can be found in the sixth chapter of Genesis and the book of Enoch. The Apostle Peter references the book of Enoch in both his letters, using it as the primary source for his arguments.
Accord to the book of Enoch, the angels came down to teach humanity, to train them and to mentor them in the ways of Yahweh. Yet, they left before humanity was ready to learn these things causing violence and mayhem on the earth. Of course it didn’t help that the angels had babies with the ladies that turned into monsters that stood in the rivers of blood from their victims. At least some, hopefully all, the angels repented of this action. However, they found that heaven wasn’t opening to them. They went to the Prophet Enoch who interceded on their behalf. In the end the angels that left before their time were put away into darkness to await judgement, so that their sins would not compound against them, and their babies, The Nephilim, were wiped out in the world wide flood.
Genesis 6:5-6
Yahweh saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time. Yahweh regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled.
It is at this time that most people begin to question the omniscience of Yahweh. If he knows all things and everything he does concerns a bigger plan, then how did this situation get by him? Did Yahweh miss the trees for the forest? Words have power, and it is the usage of words that inform our interpretations of ideas and events. Just as we can look at the word elohim and see the possibilities for angels rather than a triad god head, we can look at a shared word and come to another conclusion.
“Let us make man in our image.”
“Yahweh regretted that he made human beings on the earth.”
No one will ever, or should ever, argue that Yahweh is the creator of man, based upon scripture. Genesis tells it quite plainly when it says that he took the dirt and molded man from it. Yahweh breathed his breath, his power, into humanity. How then do the angels become involved with the creation of man? Actually the word used; make or made, could have another word choice, as given by Strong’s dictionary, formed. The angels were to help form man. Their job was to train them up to be humanity’s teachers. The idea of this shines a new light on the possibilities of the Tree of the Knowledge of the Good and the Evil. (read Too Soon? For more) Yet, some of the elohim acted too soon because their desires for the women of earth and ruined humanity’s education.
Yahweh regretted how mankind was formed. The education they received was enough to make them dangerous to each other, and the children spawned by the breeding with angels was disastrous. Yahweh then decided to wipe the slate clean while their was still a pure bloodline for Yahshua to come into later.
John 10:34
Yahshua answered them, “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I have said you are “Elohim”’?
Yahshua quoted King David when he pointed out the to Pharisees his claim to divinity by saying everyone has a claim to divinity. The serpent wasn’t wrong so much as he was misleading, when he told Adam and Eve you shall be like the gods. Adam knew the purpose of the tree of knowledge and was impatiently waiting until the day that Yahweh would allow him to eat of it. Because why would Yahweh put something in Adam’s reach unless he, a) was going to give it to him just as soon as he was ready, or b) a cruel god bent on damning his own creation?
The elohim knew good from evil, so the serpent offered a short cut to the destiny that humanity ultimately had. However, by accepting the short cut Adam saw that he didn’t the necessary requisites to handle it. It would be the same as giving a first grader a calculus text book before teaching them addition and subtraction. Sure you could figure it out, but not without some serious trial and error.
Now two door have been opened that have paved the way for the spiritual game of risk. It is not about the war between Yahweh or Lucifer, (a better name from the devil would be Samael.) Humanity has been given the power to think for themselves, and a host angels to influence them into following them. All the stories about Ares, Venus, Horus, and Thor, are the stories of the fallen elohim who were locked out of Heaven and refused to repent afterwards. Within every story, myth, and legend that in find across the world we discover common trends in each. Now of course every religion and very culture believes it to be the correct one. I once read a paragraph online that read:
That if you were born in the middle east you’re either Jewish or Islamic. If you were born in India you’re Hindu. But since you were born in America you are a Christian. It isn’t a matter of divine revelation, it is simply geography.’
There is, I believe, an element of truth to this. I say this knowing what King Solomon said in the book of Ecclesiastes that there is nothing new under the sun. Most cultures have a story about a coming, or one who had come, Messiah, who laid down his life for the sake of the world. As pointed out by by skeptics and scholars; the Egyptians, Hinduism, Greek mythology, even the native tribes of America all lay a similar claim to the life and works of Christianity’s Jesus. One could argue that those who follow the writings of the Bible are following a much younger text as opposed to the ones known in Egyptian or Sumerian origin.
However, don’t you see the commonality? Cultures around the world tell of the coming of someone who will save us from ourselves. Even Darwinism pushes the idea of a better human evolving from it’s inferior ancestors. No matter how far we think we’ve come, the story remains the same. That is because, I believe, there is only the one story to tell. The elohim, the angels both divine and diabolical, only know the one story. What they want is to tell you their version of the story to amass their own followers. There had been several occasions in which the Scriptures have told of men falling to the feet of angels in worship. Only to have said angels tell them to knock it off, and get up.
Yahweh’s plan has always involved mentoring. Otherwise Yahshua never would have told his disciples to go into all the world and make their own disciples. It was the plan from the start, but we got overly excited and decided to drive before we got our permit. The same was, and in most cases still is, true of our teachers. Over zealous instructors who think they can change the world if only they could make people listen. Perhaps teaching those who are not ready out of desperation or selfish desire.
Is it just a universal pissing competition? It is just a popularity contest for the idol who can sing the best, get the most votes, and become the next god king of the universe? Or is it all a distraction, smoke and mirrors to cover up the bigger picture? Because even amongst all these possible worlds one constant remains, something big needs to happen before humanity self destructs and loses it all. Yahweh wants to train those up who seek him to be ready to for judgement. Not just the judgement of one’s heart and deeds, but to those he would give authority to they would be given authority to judge the angels, the elohim, both good and evil.
However, let’s not confuse the concept of having the education of an elohim and authority over the elohim, with the belief that one day man kind will become a God. The popular Mormon belief is that a good Mormon man with many children (and among those who practice polygamy, many wives) as well as a strict adherence to the Mormon faith, will become a god of their own universe, and their wife/wives will be eternally pregnant giving birth the elohim of that universe.
There is but one Elohim who is the El to all elohim. Yet, the authority granted in the next life is given to those who prove themselves faithful, and they are given the right to govern according to their works. This is an overly simplified statement, see How I Met Our Father Testimonial Video Episode 11, Final Destinations for details on this structure. Yet, none will be as equal or surpass Yahweh, for the simple fact that he is an eternal being while; we are created beings. Yahweh has no begin or end; while we have both.
However, we are all give the chance to learn and grow, to become qualified for the next level of authority. I believe that Yahweh is a Creator, that is his nature it is what he does. I also don’t believe that heaven is a place where we float around on clouds, playing harps while wearing white robes and sandals. Yahweh will continue to create and we will be tasked with educated and forming those who would come after, giving us the chance to see life from the other side of the veil.
